CES 2023 has emerged more than just a tech show. It is now also one of the world’s most popular and largest automotive shows, with technology companies and car manufacturers wheeling out some of their technologies and latest concepts.This year at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023, companies and exhibitors across the automotive sector have unveiled some of their cutting-edge technologies and latest products. Sony and Honda revealed their EV prototype Afeela integrated with Unreal Engine technology, while BMW also announced the futuristic i-Vision Dee electric car with color-changing e-Ink technology.

Dolby Atmos surround sound tech in Mercedes-Benz
Dolby Atmos is surround sound technology that we only find at the theatre or in pricey soundbars, speakers, headphones, and smart TVs. Unlike left and right audio experience, Dolby Atmos brings sound from every direction, and this tech is coming to Mercedes-Benz Maybach. The Dolby Atmos surround sound tech installed in Mercedes-Benz includes Burmester 4D sound system along with 30 speakers. The system delivers 1,750 watts of power and costs around $185,000.
BMW’s color changing i-Vision Dee

The i-Vision DEE is equipped with 240 E Ink segments that can be controlled individually, also, each car panel can be customized as per your preference. The augmented-reality windshield gives information in the form of AR projections and virtual worlds.
Sony and Honda's electric sedan - Afeela
In collaboration with Sony, Honda has unveiled an electric midsized sedan, Afeela, at CES 2023. The alliance between them works like Honda provides the automotive engineering and after-sales service part, whereas Sony covers the tech side like sensors, electronics, and entertainment.
The front of the EV has a built-in display, while the entire body comes equipped with dozens of cameras and sensors to detect objects. The car interface is powered by Qualcomm technology and Unreal Engine to enhance the driving experience.
Qualcomm and Salesforce intelligent connected vehicle platform

Qualcomm has joined hands with CRM software company Salesforce to develop a new intelligent connected vehicle platform for the automotive industry. This intelligent platform is built with Snapdragon Digital Chassis and Salesforce Automotive Cloud, intended to give automakers.The new connected vehicle platform will give a better understanding of customer behavior through driver data and will also let them offer monetizable connected services.
Harman’s AR heads-up display
Samsung-owned Harman unveiled its AR heads-up display at CES 2023. The heads-up display uses the vehicle sensor to deliver visual alerts that will provide the driver with knowledge and information about their surroundings and driving conditions. For instance, a heads-up display could provide more detailed navigation prompts on the windshield.
Moreover, along with the heads-up display, Harman will integrate a directional and spatial audio system that will give drivers the ability to respond in dangerous situations.
EV truck- Ram 1500 Revolution BEV

Ram, an American brand of light to mid-weight trucks and other commercial vehicles, showcased its first-ever fully electric pickup truck at CES 2023. This electric truck has back-swinging suicide doors, an AR display, and AI personal assistant. The EV truck comes with a party and a relaxed mode similar to Tesla EV cars. But the most exciting feature about this EV truck is the ‘Shadow mode,’ which allows the truck to follow the driver around when they are on foot.
Other features include a 28- inch screen, exterior projectors, autonomous capabilities, an all-glass ceiling, and digital side-view mirrors.
