Meta Platforms reports third-quarter earnings on Wednesday, Oct. 25, after the closing bell.

Investors will be focused on the company's success battling rival TikTok via its short-form video product Instagram Reels. They will also use Meta's results as a gauge of health for the digital advertising market.

Meta has a lot on the line given that its stock has seen massive gains and is one of the best-performing mega-cap tech giants this year. Shares are up roughly 160% year-to-date and, have surged about 250% from 52-week lows.

Meta's consensus third-quarter revenue estimate is $33.52 billion.
