Apple event date and time

Apple’s iPhone 15 event will be streamed on Apple’s website, Apple TV and the company’s YouTube channel on September 12 at 10:30 PM IST.

What to expect from the Apple event

iPhone 15 series

The main highlight of the September 12 event will be the iPhone 15 series. The company is expected to announce four devices in the iPhone 15 series – the entry-level iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus and the top-end – iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. One of the major changes this year’s iPhones will offer is the addition of a USB Type-C port that will replace the Lightning port.

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to receive minor changes, including the addition of the Dynamic Island to the non-pro variants. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be equipped with the powerful A16 Bionic chipset, an upgrade over the A15 Bionic chipset.

The top-end devices will be powered by the new Apple A17 Bionic chipset, which is expected to offer substantial performance and efficiency improvements.

The premium iPhone 15 Pro Max will also get a substantial camera upgrade. The device will offer a revamped camera setup with a periscope lens technology. This will allow the device to offer up to 6x optical zoom, up from the 3x zoom.
