Instagram has added a dedicated field for users to list their pronouns on their profile.
You can choose up to four pronouns to display, which appear in gray next to your name.
Users can change or remove their pronouns at any time, and can choose whether their pronouns are displayed publicly or just to followers.
Previously, users could manually add their pronouns to either their bio or their display name.
To add your pronouns, open up your Instagram profile on the app and click "edit profile." Click pronouns, and start typing. A list of suggestions will pop up. Each one you tap will be added to your profile, up to four pronouns.
You can only choose pronouns from this set list, though Instagram said it would continue to update this over time and encouraged people to share pronouns suggestions. Mashable said that it found 41 pronoun options on the current list.
The update is currently only available in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, but the social-media site said it planned to roll the feature out more widely in the future.

LinkedIn has rolled out the option for users to add pronouns to their profile, too. Unlike Instagram, LinkedIn doesn't use a list and instead allows users to free type their choice of pronouns.
