Google is finally rolling out emojis reaction for Meet, something I and many others have been patiently waiting for. With the emojis' reaction to its video conferencing platform, users can silently send out reactions during calls.

Google revealed this feature in a blog post. The company says emoji reactions will be available for Google Meet on Web, Meet hardware devices, iOS, and Android, and it’s coming soon.

Google says this new feature is ‘coming soon’ to Android, which is funny as Google is bringing this feature to iOS before Android.
How to use it?
The emojis reaction feature can be accessed by clicking on the new ‘smile’ icon in the meeting controls. Once clicked, emoji options will pop up, including clapping hands, thumbs up, and a heart.

In addition, users will also be able to choose the skin color that best represents them. Also, this choice will be saved to their profile.

Further, Google is also introducing 360-degree backgrounds on the Meet mobile app that move as you rotate your camera. This feature will be coming to Android and iOS in the coming weeks. It will feature a beach-themed background with other options such as sky city, oasis, and mountain temple.

This is not the only recent feature that Google has added to meet to improve the video conferencing app Meet; back in January 2022, Google rolled out live captions and added support for more languages.
