iOS 16: How to use Live Text in a video on iPhone

- Apple has released the iOS 16 beta for developers, allowing them to test out new features including Live Text.
- You can now extract text from video using Live Text in the iOS 16 developers' beta version.
- Here’s how to use Live Text in a video on iPhone with OS iOS 16.
Now, this feature allows users to use a camera to recognise text from videos and copy-paste it. It is Apple’s native OCR technology and earlier it was limited to screenshots, images, camera capture and more. This feature will be limited to iPhones running with an A12 chipset or higher (iPhone XS and later, iPad Pro 2020 and later, 5th generation of iPad Mini, iPad Air 2019 or later, iPad 2020).

Here’s how to use Live Text in a video-
- Open the Photos app and open the preferred video.
- Scroll the video to the point where you want to extract the text.
- Pause the video, tap and hold on to the text on video.
- Live Text will automatically recognize text and show you the following options copy, select all, look up, translate, search web and more.
- Tap on the desired option to use the text as needed.
