How to find someone on Slack on a computer
1. Open Slack and log into your workspace.
2. Click the plus sign next to "Direct Messages" in the left sidebar.

3. If you know their name, enter it into the search bar, otherwise click "Search for people."

4. If you entered their name, select the correct contact when they appear.
- If you clicked "Search for people,"enter your query into the search bar, including any relevant information, like a phrase they used in a recent message to a group you're in, or their title or other profile information.

How to find someone on Slack on a mobile device
The mobile version of Slack is somewhat simplistic compared to the desktop counterpart. But you can still find easily contacts if you know their name, using a similar process to the desktop version:
1. Open the Slack app and log into your workspace, if needed.
2. Tap the workspace name to open the menu.
