Here’s how to download macOS Ventura and use features like Continuity Camera, Stage Manager and more

Apple announced the macOS Venture update at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2022. The new macOS brings some major updates such as Passkeys, Camera continuity, Stage Manager, redesigned search, and much more.

While these are some known features, thanks to WWDC 2022, there are still some interesting hidden features which Apple wants you to discover yourself.

However, macOS Ventura is only available to developers in the beta version but here’s how you can download and install macOS Ventura on your Mac.

The very first step is to enroll in the Apple Developer program by clicking here. Once done, follow the given steps.
  • Go to Apple’s developer site and log in with your Apple ID and accept the terms and conditions.
  • Once logged in then go to the download page.
  • Updates will be shown on the download page, click on the download macOS Ventura option.
  • Once installed, go to the Apple Logo on your mac then System Preferences > Software Update.

Get weather updates from multiple locations
macOS Ventura brings a weather app. With the weather app, you can get real-time updates about multiple locations along with other details such as UV index, sunset, 10-day forecast, humidity, wind, air pressure details and real-time details about precipitation.

To add multiple locations to the weather app follow the given steps-
  • Open the weather app and search the location in the search bar.
  • Once selected, click on the Plus button next to the search bar.
  • Now you can see weather updates of multiple locations which can be accessed from a sidebar too.
All new features of the Clock app
macOS also gets a dedicated Clock app for the first time. The Clock app can be used to set a timer, alarm and as a stopwatch.

To set the alarm, click on Clock > Alarm and then click on the Plus icon. Just adjust the time and after all the changes click on Save.

FaceTime Handoff

If you get a FaceTime call on an iPad or iPhone and you are near your Mac, macOS Ventura allows you to transfer the FaceTime call to Mac. Also, this means you can transfer calls from Mac to iPhones or iPad without any hassles.

Stage Manager
The Stage Manager feature allows you to multitask in a better way. With this feature, you can easily jump between applications and windows while multitasking.

To activate Stage Manager, go to Control Center > Stage Manager.

Collaborate on Notes
macOS brings more flexibility to notes as now you can share notes for collaboration via link. To do so, open the note you want to collaborate and click on the Share button. Then select ‘Everyone can make changes’ to manage the permissions for the notes and share it via link for collaboration.

Intuitive Mail app
With macOS Ventura, the Mail app will alert/remind you to add attachments and recipients similar to Google Mail app. With these new features, Apple plans to bring more users to their Mail app.
