How to delete apps on your Chromebook to save storage space and declutter your menus

Sometimes, what you really want is a bit of technological minimalism, to speed things up and make your user experience more seamless.

Chromebooks are already pretty sparse when it comes to apps, but if you've installed one that you no longer want, getting rid of it is a simple task that could take less than a minute to complete.

Here's how to get it done.

How to delete apps on Chromebook

1. Open the Launcher - that's the circle icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen.

2. Click the up-carrot to view all of your apps.

3. Right-click on the app you want to uninstall by tapping the trackpad with two fingers.

4. Select "Uninstall" or "Remove from Chrome."

5. Click "Remove."

Alternatively, if you don't see the thing you're looking for in your apps menu, it might not be an app but instead a Chrome extension.

You can disable a Chrome extension by clicking the three stacked dots in the upper-right corner of a Chrome window and selecting "More tools" and then "Extensions." Then turn off whichever extension you don't want anymore.
