There are many ways to clear up space on your iPhone to make sure you have room for all the photos and apps you need. In fact, we have an entire article on the topic: "How to free up space on an iPhone that's running out of storage."

On the iPhone Storage page, you can identity which apps are taking up the most data.

On that screen, you can scroll down to see how much space each of your apps is using. If you notice that an app or two are taking up a lot of space but you rarely use them, it's a good idea to delete that app's data.

And as it happens, with most apps, you can delete an app's data by just deleting the app. With a few apps, like Messages, your photo library, and your email, you can delete individual files to save space. For most apps, however, just follow these steps.

1. From the iPhone Storage screen, tap on any app you wish to delete.

2. Tap "Delete App" to remove it.

You usually won't lose any accounts you've made with the app, but you will lose unique app data.

On your iPhone's home screen, you can also hold a finger on an app icon and then tap the X icon that pops up to delete it. Or, if you're using iOS 13, tap and hold an app icon, select "Rearrange Apps," and then tap the X that pops up.

3. If you still want to use an app, just launch the App Store and reinstall the app you just deleted.

And that's that. Data gone, app restored.
