With the Google Voice Access App meant for Android phones, you can control your device with your oral commands. You can use your voice to open some apps, edit text hands free, navigate and perform other functions. The voice access language options you have include English, Spanish, German, Italian, or French. Here is how you can start using the Google Voice Commands App on your phone.

Check the device and settings on your phone

To be able to use the Google Voice Commands, you need an android phone of version 5.0 or later. You can find out the version of your android phone by going to ‘Settings’ and then landing on ‘About Phone’.

You must have the latest version of Google App. So, it is good to go to Google Play and download Voice Access or update it.

Start using Google Voice Access

Open your device’s Settings and then go to App Settings.

Tap on Accessibility and then tap on ‘Voice Access’.

At the top of the page, you will find the On/Off switch.

You need to turn the Voice Access on

If you find the Voice Match on, try saying “Ok Google.”

If you see that your Voice Match is not on, you can open the notification shade and go to ‘Touch to start’ Voice Access Notification’.

Talk out a command, something like "Open Gmail."

Now you are through with the Google Voice Assistant.

Note: when you start using the Google Voice Access, for the first time, you will find a guide to "Ok Google" settings which will guide you through the setup process for a full hands-free experience. You will also come across an interactive tutorial to learn how Voice Access works.
