Going through a job interview is a hectic process and if you are a fresher or are looking for a job after a long time, you are likely out of practice and need to prepare yourself well for the interview as it is one of the most important stages of a job process.

Google has announced an Interview Warmup tool that will help you practise for a job interview while getting suggestions from an AI developed by the search giant.

“Preparing for interviews will always take a lot of work, but we hope this tool can make it a little easier for anyone to become more confident and grow comfortable with interviewing,” Google said in a blog post.

Here’s how Google’s Interview Warmup tool works

The Interview Warmup tool from Google consists of various job fields and you can select the appropriate job field based on your profile.

Once you select the job field, the tool will ask you five questions and you will be able to answer either using your microphone or your keyboard. If you use a microphone, the answer will be transcribed in real time.

The questions will be selected from a series of questions prepared by industry experts and are aimed at simulating real-life scenarios.

Once you have answered the question, the AI will analyse the answer and will help you understand the job-related terms, most-used words and talking points from your answer.

The questions asked by the tool are of three types – Background questions, situational questions and technical questions.

While the tool will not provide you with ratings or alternate answers, you will be able to improve your answers based on the insights provided by the tool.
