Design and features

Starting with the design, the Haier PROBOT DTX robot vacuum cleaner features a circular body with a low profile. The company has kept the design similar to what you see on other robot vacuum cleaners in the market.

Its compact size allows it to navigate through tight spaces like under the furniture and between obstacles with ease.

The design is practical and functional, with a durable plastic exterior that feels solid enough to handle daily usage. The dustbin and water tank are conveniently located and easy to access and empty.

The PROBOT-DTX can be connected with the company’s Haismart app. The Haismart app allows for a seamless user experience. You can initiate cleaning sessions, schedule cleaning times, view cleaning history, adjust suction levels, and even set virtual boundaries or no-go zones.

Compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa, the PROBOT-DTX allows you to control the device with voice commands.

Performance

Unlike a lot of other devices in the segment, the PROBOT-DTX uses laser navigation technology to map your home and create efficient cleaning paths. This ensures systematic cleaning and prevents random bumping around. It can also store multiple maps, making it suitable for multi-level homes. The device can store maps of up to five floors.

It offers a 5000Pa suction power, allowing the PROBOT-DTX to easily clean dust, dirt, pet hair, and debris on various surfaces. It automatically adjusts suction power based on floor type, ensuring optimal cleaning performance. It works especially well on smooth surfaces like tiles, hardwood, and laminate, delivering thorough cleaning results.

The device also features a mopping function, allowing it to mop the floors while vacuuming. The mopping feature works well for light cleaning and is best suited for daily maintenance rather than deep scrubbing.

It comes with an electronically controlled water tank that ensures even water distribution and prevents leaks.

The PROBOT-DTX offers a decent battery life, allowing it to clean large areas on a single charge. It automatically returns to its charging dock when the battery runs low and once charged, it resumes cleaning from where it left off.

Verdict

The Haier PROBOT-DTX is a feature-packed device that offers good performance, a decent battery life, and smart connectivity. The robot vacuum cleaner is easy to use and can be controlled using the app. It is able to offer good cleaning and mopping and has enough battery life to cover a large house.
