The Google I/O 2023 will be live-streamed on the company’s website and YouTube. You can watch the event on May 11 at 10:30 PM in India.
The Google Pixel 7a is expected to be introduced at the upcoming I/O event, just like its predecessor Pixel 6a, which was introduced at I/O 2022.
The Pixel 7a is expected to feature a 90Hz OLED display, an improvement over the predecessor’s 60Hz display, offering a higher refresh rate and a smooth user experience.
The device is expected to be powered by the company’s Tensor G2 chipset and an improved primary camera.
Google is expected to introduce its first foldable device, the Pixel Fold, at the I/O 2023. Over the last few months, the device has leaked several times, and the company may finally unveil the device at the upcoming event.
It is expected to feature a 7.6-inch Quad HD+ inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to be powered by the company’s Tensor G2 chipset, coupled with 12GB of RAM.
The Pixel Fold will compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Z series, Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, and other foldable devices. Samsung is the current leader in the foldable segment, occupying over 60% of the market share.
Google is scheduled to introduce the Pixel tablet, which was first showcased during the company’s Pixel 7 event last year. The company has already confirmed that the tablet will be equipped with the Tensor G2 chipset, and it is expected to run on Android 13 out of the box.
Unlike other tablets, the Pixel Tablet will come with a charging speaker dock, which will likely act as a smart device, like the company’s smart home speakers.
We have already seen some features of the upcoming Android 14, such as satellite connectivity, better background app management to offer an increased battery life, and more.
Android 14 is expected to introduce a very low battery alert on smartphones, a feature that will inform users that their battery is ‘very low’ when the device’s battery level reaches 2%.
It is expected to bring other features such as fast pair in connection preferences, cloned apps support, health connect and more.
Google is expected to reveal more about Android 14 at its I/O event, including the biggest features.
We will better understand Android 14 when Google hosts I/O 2023, as the first beta will be out by then.
