From iPhone 14 to Mac Pro with M1 Max chipset, here's everything Apple is expected to launch in 2022

2021 was a busy year for Apple as the Cupertino giant introduced several devices such as the iPhone 13 series, AirPods 3, iMac 2021 and MacBook Pro among others. The company is set to have another packed year as it is expected to launch several new products this year.Some of the expected devices of 2022 include a Mac Pro with the company’s M1 Pro or M1 Max chips, a redesigned MacBook Air, iPhone 14 series and the speculated AR/VR headset.
Let’s look at what Apple has in store for us in 2022 –
iPhone 14
Apple is expected to revamp the iPhone series with the iPhone 14 and introduce four models – two 6.1-inch models and two 6.7-inch models. The company is expected to ditch the “mini” model this year and it will be replaced with the “Max” model that is expected to feature a 6.7-inch display.

The new iPhones will offer improvements in the camera department and the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to feature 48MP primary cameras.
Mac Pro
One of the highlights of 2022 will be the introduction of Mac Pro with the company’s own M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets. The company is expected to introduce two versions of the Mac Pro.
While the first version will be similar to its predecessor and will continue to be powered by Intel chips, the new smaller version is expected to feature a compact form factor and be equipped with M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets with 20 or 40 computing cores and 64-core to 128-core GPU.
MacBook Air

The MacBook Air is expected to feature a major design overhaul this year as Apple prepares to ditch the wedge design and shift towards a design similar to the MacBook Pro.
The device is expected to feature a mini-LED display without ProMotion technology, MacBook Pro-like keyboard and a 1080p camera. It is expected to be the first device to be powered by the company’s upcoming M2 chipset.
Apple is expected to introduce the MacBook Air in additional colours similar to the 24-inch iMac and bring white bezels and a white keyboard.
iPad Pro
Apple is expected to introduce the iPad Pro 2022 in two variants – 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes. The device is expected to come with a glass back and feature a MagSafe charger similar to the charger that is used for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13.

Apple is also expected to use the mini-LED display for the 11-inch iPad Pro this year. The company had used the technology for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro in 2021.
Apple Watch Series 8
The Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to be introduced with new health features such as blood glucose monitoring, temperature sensing and sleep apnea detection among others.
Apple is also expected to use the existing fall detection technology and work on a car crash detection technology.

Apple is expected to finally bring the much-awaited rugged sports version this year.AirPods 2
The Apple AirPods Pro 2 is another device that is expected to receive a major design overhaul this year. The company is expected to ditch the stem and adopt a rounded design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Buds.
The device is also expected to offer some health tracking and fitness technology.
AR/VR headset
Apple is expected to finally launch its AR/VR headset this year and it is expected to feature a design similar to the Oculus Quest virtual reality headset.

The headset is expected to come with two 4K micro-OLED displays from Sony and over a dozen cameras for mapping. As per Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the device will be equipped with 15 optical cameras, out of which 8 will be used for “augmented reality experiences” and the remaining 7 will be used for “innovative biometrics”.
iPhone SE
Apple is also expected to introduce a new iPhone SE this year with the company’s A15 chipset and 5G connectivity. It is expected to feature a 4.7-inch display and a Touch ID home button.
