Dr. Gupta.ai is an AI-driven chatbot that provides personalized health information and suggestions to its users. It was created by Martin Shkreli, a former pharmaceutical executive, who aims to enhance access to health information and advice with the convenience of a chatbot service.

Dr. Gupta uses a modified version of the underlying technology of OpenAI's ChatGPT, which can understand and answer complicated medical questions based on information available online and in medical journals. The mind behind Dr. Gupta

Shkreli previously faced legal issues related to his pharmaceutical business practices. His former company Turing Pharmaceuticals, acquired the rights to Daraprim, a drug used to treat a rare parasitic disease, and hiked its price from $13.50 to $750 per pill. He was convicted of securities fraud and conspiracy in an unrelated case in 2017 and served seven years in prison. He was also fined $64.6 million and banned from the pharmaceutical industry for life after violating antitrust laws.

After his release from prison, Shkreli launched Druglike, a drug discovery software platform, which the Federal Trade Commission later investigated for potential violations of his industry ban. In response to the investigation, Shkreli defended Druglike as not being a pharmaceutical company.

Despite his past legal troubles, Shkreli launched Dr. Gupta chatbot intending to reestablish a business in the booming AI industry.
