Elon Musk is lining up coaches for his much-anticipated fight with tech rival Mark Zuckerberg.
The billionaire accepted Ultimate Fighting Championship legend Georges St-Pierre's offer to train him for the cage match.
Tagging Musk on Twitter, St-Pierre wrote: "I'm a huge fan of yours and it would be an absolute honour to help you and be your training partner for the challenge against Zuckerberg."
"Ok, let's do it," Musk tweeted in response.
St-Pierre is a former professional mixed martial artist and is regarded as one of the greatest fighters in the sport's history. He was a two-division champion in the UFC, winning titles in the welterweight and middleweight divisions.
The two tech CEOs appeared to agree to the fight after Musk tweeted last week that he was "up for" a cage match if Zuckerberg accepted the challenge. The Meta CEO responded via his own platform, Instagram, asking Musk to send the location for the clash.
UFC president Dana White also said he had spoken to the two tech execs on the phone and both are "dead serious" about the fight.
Representatives for Musk did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment, made outside normal working hours.
Musk appears to be training for the fight even though the details are not yet finalized. Podcaster Lex Fridman said he had an "impromptu training session" with Musk, adding in a tweet he was impressed with Elon's "strength, power, and skill."
