Dell Latitude 7455 design

The Dell Latitude 7455 features a minimalistic design, featuring a metal clam-shell design. It features an aluminium design and comes in a single Titan Gray colour option.

The laptop features a minimalistic gray-coloured aluminium lid with a matte finish. It comes with the Dell logo at the back, with the rest of the back being empty. It offers an elegant yet utilitarian look, which is what the laptop’s target audience is probably looking for. The laptop keeps fingerprints and dust away and is easy to clean, making it look flawless.

The Latitude 7455 features a compact design and weighs 1.44 kg, making it easier for you to carry around with you. The hinge of the laptop is also well-built and feels very sturdy.

Opening the Dell Latitude 7455 with one hand may be an issue sometimes as you may not find anything on the lid to hold onto. Unlike Apple’s MacBook which can be opened easily with a single hand, I often had to use both hands to open the laptop.

The keyboard offers a smooth and velvety feel. The palm rest is also very soft and feels very comfortable to use. The company has offered rounded edges with the device, allowing you to easily rest your hands without any worries. The touchpad is large, which makes it easier to use and is very responsive.

The keyboard is backlit and feels good to type on. As someone who has to type a lot, I had no issues while typing on the laptop. The laptop’s keyboard features a key for Microsoft CoPilot, replacing the Ctrl key.

On the left, the laptop comes with two USB Type-C ports and an SD card reader.

On the right, the laptop comes with a USB Type-A port and an audio jack.

Dell has offered a large vent at the bottom to manage the heat.

Dell Latitude 7455 display

Coming to the display, the Dell Latitude 7455 is equipped with a 14-inch Quad HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. The display comes with a 16:10 aspect ratio and features thin bezels.

The display offers a 400 nits brightness, which is decent for a laptop but a higher brightness would have been better.

The laptop comes with a touch screen that is very responsive. It features an anti-smudge coating so you don’t have to worry about fingerprint smudges.

The laptop is good for viewing content and working, thanks to its colour accuracy. It offers a 60Hz refresh rate, which is a bit disappointing considering laptops in this segment usually offer a higher refresh rate.

Dell Latitude 7455 performance

Coming to performance, the Dell Latitude 7455 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite Platform processor. The laptop is available in a single variant with 16GB LPDDR5x 8400 MHz RAM and a 512TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD.

It is able to handle multi-tasking with ease, without any issues. There was no stuttering or lag, despite many applications and tabs open at once. You can easily multitask on the device with several applications running at once.

The laptop comes with Windows CoPilot+ and offers a dedicated CoPilot key, allowing you to get access to AI-powered features with ease.

The laptop’s cooling system also works well and I did not notice any abnormal heating.

The laptop is equipped with a 3-cell 54 Whr battery and offers excellent battery life, thanks to the Snapdragon chipset. During regular usage, I could get around 12 hours of usage on a single charge, which is great.

Verdict

The Dell Latitude 7455 is a feature-packed laptop that is aimed at professionals looking for a powerful laptop with a compact form factor and a sleek design. The laptop offers a premium design, powerful hardware, and a comfortable experience.

If you are someone who is looking for a premium laptop for multi-tasking and is okay with paying a premium, the Latitude 7455 is a good option for you.
