As summer knocks on the door, Indian e-commerce platforms are gearing up for the upcoming sale season. Amazon has taken the lead by announcing its summer sale, the Great Summer Sale, which is expected to begin soon, although the exact start date remains undisclosed. The sale has already been given a micro-site on Amazon's website.

Contrary to popular belief that summer sales only offer discounts on cooling appliances like air conditioners, coolers, and refrigerators, Amazon's Great Summer Sale promises a range of discounts and offers on other categories, including mobile phones, electronics, home and kitchen, and much more.

The Great Summer sale has been unveiled by Amazon, with the e-commerce platform in India offering various deals. Customers can also benefit from an extra 10% discount on transactions made via ICICI Bank or Kotak Mahindra Bank debit or credit cards and further discounts on EMI transactions.

Amazon Great Summer Sale 2023: Best deals and discounts

Although Amazon has yet to release full details on the deals and dates for the Great Summer Sale, the platform has teased discounts across various categories. Mobile phones and accessories are expected to receive up to 40% discounts, including the latest launches, such as the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite and iQOO Z7 5G. Budget mobile phones will be available starting at ₹5,899, with no-cost EMI starting at ₹1,555 per month.

In the electronics category, which includes laptops and smartwatches, customers can expect discounts of up to 75%. Laptops will be available with up to ₹40,000 discount, while tablets will have up to 60% off. Amazon has also mentioned 1 lakh free earphones and smartwatches, although details on these are yet to be disclosed.

Summer essentials, including ACs, coolers, and refrigerators, are set to have up to a 60% discount, with customers able to exchange their old TVs for a new ones at an additional discount of up to ₹5,000. Home and kitchen appliances will receive up to 70% discount, covering home decor, kitchen appliances, furniture, mattresses, and more.

Clothing and other fashionable products will be discounted by 50% to 80%, while products from small businesses, books, toys, and grooming items will have up to 70% off during the sale. Amazon's in-house products, such as Alexa and Fire TV, are expected to be discounted by up to 40%, and products from Amazon will be available with up to 70% off.
