Babies rule Youtube: Six of the top 10 most-watched videos cater to the very young

Views: 12.3 billion Uploaded: 2017The upbeat children’s song that rings in the ear, has babies coming back to it again – making it the video with the most views. It was uploaded by South Korean company Pinkfong, and is so popular that it set off a Baby Shark dance challenge.

Views: 8.1 billion Uploaded: 2017The video by Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee, is a Spanish song about love and seduction. The song that’s a mix of pop and reggaeton music styles reached the hearts and screens of non-Spanish speaking people in Italy, Indonesia and more. It’s also the first Spanish song to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 list since 1996.

Views: 6.59 billion Uploaded: 2016 This children’s song uploaded by Loo Loo Kids, has managed to gain love and hate alike. It also made it to the dubious list of the 10 most-disliked videos on YouTube, showing how much adults hate the songs babies love to watch repeatedly.

Views: 5.96 billion Uploaded: 2018 This nursery rhyme uploaded by Cocomelon is a mashup of Baby Shark and Row, Row, Row Your Boat. While adored by children, the song has approximately 8.39 million dislikes.

Views: 5.89 billion Uploaded: 2017 This pop song by Ed Sheeran is also only the third song to reach one billion plays on the music streaming service, Spotify. It swept the awards charts, winning the 2018 Grammy for Best Pop Solo amongst others.
