As more people work from home, broadband companies are offering free upgrades, routers and more

Several companies in India have asked their employees to start working from home due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country. To make hay as a bunch of people work from home, broadband companies are now offering free upgrades and introducing new ‘affordable’ plans.

Employees especially those who never worked from home are now scrambling for better speeds and struggling with data limits. Now however, VPN and the need to access the cloud is making them opt for better speeds.

To take care of the sudden spike in demand, broadband companies are moving quick with their new offers.

Act Fibernet announces free upgrade

Act Fibernet, one of the biggest broadband providers in the country, announced a free upgrade where users will get improved data speeds and unlimited FUP.

While announcing the upgrade, Act Fibernet mentioned that the speeds will be increased to 300 Mbps and the FUP will be removed for the month of March. It is to be noted that users on the entry-level plan will get a speed of 100 mbps and unlimited FUP.

Excitel Broadband announces new plans

Excitel Broadband announced new affordable plans for users working from home. Excitel has a starting speed of 50 Mbps and goes up to 300 Mbps. All of its plans come with unlimited FUP, so you don’t have to worry about exhausting the data limit.

Airtel Broadband

While Airtel Broadband has not announced any offer or new plan for its users, it is currently offering free installation and router for long-term plans. Airtel offers speeds ranging from 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps depending on the plan. It also offers unlimited local and STD calls, and this will help you easily connect with your team.
