Apple Music has launched a completely revamped 2022 Replay experience to let subscribers explore their favorite artists, songs, albums, and genres of the year. Just like before, Replay is only accessible through the web. The redesigns bring the annual recap feature closer to Spotify’s Wrapped experience.Apple’s Replay now includes stories like highlight reel that displays your music activity for the year. Each page includes an impressive animated transition with music playing in the background. Besides this, you can also see if you are top 100 listeners of a specific genre or artist. This feature is similar to Spotify’s Wrapped functionality that notifies users if they are one of the top listeners for a specific artist. The one feature that differentiates Replay from Spotify’s Wrapped is that users can use replay until December 31. Unlike Spotify Wrapped, the Replay feature will continue to evolve until the end of the year.
Once you see your stats on Apple Music Replay, you can share them on messaging platforms and social media.
Talking about data privacy, Replay maintains Apple’s standard privacy throughout the experience. According to Apple, an individual user’s insights are never shared, sold, or used in marketing materials. The user can share their insights at their discretion if they choose.
No other Apple Music subscribers or employees can access their insights outside of their chosen snapshots at any time, said Apple.
