Several reports have already given us a good idea about what to expect from the Apple September event – it’s the biggest event of the year for the company, and it is expected to stay on track and launch a new set of iPhones. Whether you’re looking for your next smartphone upgrade or a new smartwatch, this might be the perfect time for you.
While we already know what to expect from the Apple September event, here’s what we are most excited about:
The primary attraction of the Apple September launch event will undoubtedly be the iPhone 13 series. It’s time for Apple’s annual iPhone refresh and this year, there could be some design changes apart from the usual hardware upgrades.
Rumours suggest that Apple could go with a smaller notch this time around for the iPhone 13, which should be welcome news for those who dislike the giant notches that iPhones still have.
But that’s not the best part – according to some reports, Apple could finally switch to 120Hz displays with the iPhone 13. This is something that Apple has been behind its competitors for a few years now, but the iPhone 13 series could finally see the company catch up.
Reports also suggest that the iPhone 13 series could feature always-on display support for the first time.
Apart from this, the cameras could see some important upgrades, including the addition of sapphire glass to cover all three lenses on the back. Apple is also expected to bring a wide-angle sensor with sensor-shift stabilisation, along with a dedicated ‘astrophotography’ mode.
Lastly, the iPhone 13 series could also get support for satellite connectivity, possibly making the new iPhones capable of connecting to Starlink’s satellite internet service.
The Apple Watch Series 7 could bring some excitement back to Apple’s industry-leading smartwatches. According to a leak from Jon Prosser, the Apple Watch Series 7 could sport a flat-edged chassis this time around, similar to the iPhone 12 series.
Prosser further says that while the overall display could remain more or less the same, Apple could likely make minor improvements by reducing the bezels, even more, allowing it to achieve a higher screen-to-body ratio.
The Apple Watch Series 7 could also come with several new features, including blood glucose monitoring through the skin thanks to the addition of a new sensor.
