Amazon Web Services is no longer allowing new customers to sign up in Russia, the company said on Tuesday.

The move follows announcements last week by cloud services providers Oracle, which suspended all operations in Russia, and SAP, which is still serving existing customers but not accepting new contracts.

In its statement, Amazon said that AWS has no data centers or infrastructure in Russia, and has a standing policy of not conducting business with the Russian government.

AWS' biggest customers in Russia are companies with headquarters outside of the country, Amazon said.

"As this conflict continues, AWS and Amazon are actively assisting and will carry on doing so into the future for both the people of Ukraine and around the world," the company said.
