Tesla Model 3 customers gave the electric sedan near-unanimous approval in a Bloomberg survey of 5,000 owners.

Ninety-nine percent of respondents said they would recommend the Model 3 to their family or friends, and 98% said they would buy the vehicle again. Ninety-eight percent of respondents also said the vehicle had surpassed their expectations.

Generating positive word-of-mouth is particularly important for Tesla, since the electric-car maker doesn't use traditional advertising to attract new customers. The company has set quarterly sales records, driven largely by the Model 3, in four of the past five quarters.

Since the Model 3's 2017 release, the vehicle has received enthusiastic reviews from both customers and automotive critics while becoming the world's best-selling electric vehicle.

The Model 3 has had a more mixed impact on Tesla's financials. A troubled production ramp in 2017 and early 2018 drove significant losses, but the company has earned a profit in three of the past five quarters as the Model 3 has become responsible for an increasing percentage of its revenue.
