What made this assignment particularly challenging was that Zuckerberg insisted Agarwal tackle it alone, without any team or external support.

Initially, Agarwal doubted his ability to deliver. The idea of building a search engine from scratch was overwhelming, especially when the likes of Google and Yahoo were the leaders in the field. Agarwal even suggested bringing in an expert from one of these companies. But Zuckerberg had a different perspective. His response was simple yet powerful: “Dude, if I can build Facebook, you can build a damn search engine.”
