A female Google executive accused of sexually harassing and drunkenly berating a male coworker has hit back in court, saying his time at the company was "marked by repeated instances of misconduct toward women."

Lawyers for Tiffany Miller, Google's director of programmatic media, say in a court filing that a complaint by Ryan Olohan, formerly Google's managing director of food, beverage, and restaurants, is a "fictional account" crafted by him "to blame others for his own significant shortcomings."

Olohan is suing Miller and Google in New York, saying among other things that Miller sexually harassed him and the company failed to address this behavior. In his complaint, filed in November in the District Court for the Southern District of New York, Olohan also accuses Google and Miller of gender discrimination, race discrimination, and retaliation.

A response from Miller's lawyers, filed Thursday, says: "Olohan's attempts to recast himself as a victim are particularly ironic in light of his troubled tenure at Google, which was marked by repeated instances of misconduct toward women and subordinates.

"Miller, who was never Olohan's boss, not only vehemently denies that she engaged in any improprieties whatsoever in her interactions with Olohan, she also categorically denies that she had anything to do with his termination."

Olohan's employment at Google was terminated on August 5, per his complaint.

A spokesperson for Google told Insider Olohan "was terminated with cause after a thorough investigation of complaints by numerous employees," adding: "We firmly stand by our decision here and we will vigorously defend ourselves against these claims."

A lawyer for Olohan told Insider his client's complaint "details his record of leadership and integrity, which Google consistently recognized for over 15 years," adding: "We are disappointed by Google's refusal to take accountability and look forward to vindicating Mr. Olohan's rights."

In a response to Olohan's complaint, filed on January 30, Google denied all allegations made against it, and asked the court to dismiss the case "with prejudice in its entirety."
