The latest leak comes from known tipster Evan Blass, who has released a set of high-resolution renders of the smartphone. From the looks of it, the Xiaomi 12 seems to focus on an industrial design without any major radical changes.
Xiaomi is expected to launch two devices, the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro at the event. According to reports, the company may also launch a Xiaomi 12X.

The launch date of the smartphone has been confirmed for December 28 in China. Wider availability details are not known at this point, but we expect more information in this regard in the coming weeks.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The Xiaomi 12 is said to sport a 6.28-inch Full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, with support for features like Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The display size is the main reason the phone is being termed as a compact flagship, especially at a time when 6.5-6.7-inch smartphones have become commonplace.
Other expected features of the Xiaomi 12 are triple rear cameras, with a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 13MP ultrawide angle snapper and a third camera with 3x optical zoom support.
Apart from this, reports suggest that the Xiaomi 12 will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging support. It is expected to run on MIUI 13, but the Android version is unknown at the moment.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is expected to feature a larger 6.73-inch Quad HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, with support for features like Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
It is expected to be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and come with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Coming to the optics, the device is expected to feature a triple camera setup at the back with a 50MP primary camera, 50MP telephoto sensor and a 50MP ultrawide angle snapper.
The device is expected to feature a 4,600mAh battery with support for up to 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging.
