In this post, we will look at some of the smartphones that are expected to launch with the Snapdragon 865 chipset in India.

What is Snapdragon 865?

The Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset was announced in December last year. It is built on TSMC’s 7nm FinFET process and offers a performance improvement of around 25% over the Snapdragon 855 chipset. It is reported to be around 25% more energy efficient than its predecessor and comes with improved imaging and AI capabilities.

The Snapdragon 865 chipset can be integrated with the Qualcomm X55 modem to bring 5G support as the device does not have an integrated 5G modem. However, this is not a big issue as there’s a long time to go for 5G to become a reality in India.
