Smartphones launching in India in May 2021

There have been over 40 smartphone launches during March and April in India and due to the current circumstances, we may not see as many launches this month. We still expect to see a few launches over the next few weeks in the country.

The companies that are expected to launch their smartphones this month include Asus, Xiaomi, Google, Samsung and more. The major launches include the ZenFone 8 series and the Pixel 5A.

Let’s take a look at the top upcoming smartphones

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S budget smartphone is scheduled to be announced on May 13, just a day after Asus announces its ZenFone 8 series. The device is equipped with the Helio G95 chipset and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charge support.

Google Pixel 5A

The Google Pixel 5A mid-range device is expected to be announced during the Google IO event that will begin on May 18. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset and feature a 90Hz refresh rate display.

Samsung Galaxy M42

Samsung is expected to reveal the Galaxy M32 smartphone in the second half of May. The device is expected to be powered by the Helio G80 chipset and feature a 90Hz refresh rate display.

Realme X7 Max

Realme X7 Max that was supposed to launch in the first week of May will now launch in the second half of May. The Realme GT Neo is being launched as the Realme X7 Max in the country. It is powered by the Dimensity 1200 chipset and features a 120Hz refresh display.

Asus ZenFone 8 series

The Asus ZenFone 8 series is expected to be the first major launch this month. The company is expected to announce the ZenFone 8 Mini, ZenFone 8 and the ZenFone 8 Pro on May 12. The three devices are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset and feature a 120Hz refresh display.

iQoo

iQoo, a recent entrant in the Indian smartphone market is all set to launch a new device in the country, dubbed as the iQoo Z3. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 768 chipset and features a 120Hz display. It is powered by a 4,400mAh battery with 55W fast charging support.

Moto G100

Motorola

Motorola is expected to soon announce the Moto G100 mid-range smartphone in India. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset and features a quad-camera setup at the back. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast charge support.

Infinix Hot 10S

Infinix

Infinix is set to launch its budget smartphone, the Hot 10S in India in the second week of May. The device is equipped with the Helio G85 chipset and features a 90Hz refresh rate display. It is powered by a huge 6,000mAh battery.
