The year 2022 is about to wind down, and there have been several notable smartphones launches in the country from companies like Samsung, Apple, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and more.

From Google launching its flagship Pixel devices in India for the first time after 2018 to Carl Pei-led Nothing launching its first Android phone, the year has been amazing for tech enthusiasts. 2023 is also expected to be packed with major launches across different price segments.

Most top brands have already started working on their flagship devices, and we have already started seeing rumors and leaks about popular devices.

Apple iPhone 15

Apple’s launch of the iPhone devices is one of the year’s biggest highlights, and the iPhone 15 is no different. While the Cupertino giant is expected to launch its flagship series in September 2023, reports around the devices have already started pouring in.

The company is expected to make major changes, including using a USB Type-C port to comply with EU rules, using solid-state buttons, and ditching the Max moniker to launch the iPhone 15 Ultra.

After Apple, Samsung takes the stage for one of the year’s biggest launches. The Korean smartphone maker will be among the first companies to launch its flagship devices in 2023.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S23 series consisting of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra in February 2023. The company will reportedly use only Snapdragon chipsets worldwide, meaning the devices will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset announced last month.

Google Pixel 8

Google has also started working on its Pixel 8 series. With the launch of the recent Pixel 7 series in India, we expect the company to launch the next iteration of its flagship devices in the country.

Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones in India with a new chipset, likely the Tensor G3, that will be unveiled next year. There’s not much information about the devices at the moment.

OnePlus 11

The OnePlus 11 is another interesting flagship device expected to launch in the coming months. The device has already been leaked, and we know what it could look like. The device is expected to feature a large circular camera module at the back and an alert slider.

The battery is also expected to improve greatly, and the OnePlus is expected to offer a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.

Xiaomi 13 series

Xiaomi is expected to introduce soon its Xiaomi 13 series, consisting of the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphones in its home country China in the coming weeks. In 2023, the devices will make their way to India, either at once or separately.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra was recently spotted on BIS, hinting that the Indian launch is imminent. The device is expected to have premium features such as a 2K E6 AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and 120W fast charging. We expect the device to be launched in the first half of 2023 in the country.

Samsung Galaxy Z series

Samsung, the current leader in the foldable segment, will launch the successors of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable smartphones in India in the second half of 2023. It will be exciting to see what improvements the Korean smartphone giant makes to its foldable phones.

Like the current Galaxy foldable devices, the next year’s foldable devices will also be priced at a premium. While not much is known about the next-gen foldable devices, they are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
