South Korean smartphone maker Samsung has announced that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will be held on July 10. The company will host the July 10 event in Paris, France.In its teaser video, Samsung has hinted towards foldables and Galaxy AI. The company is expected to launch its new foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 at the event.

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked will be held on July 10 at 3 PM CEST (6:30 PM Indian time).
What to expect from the Galaxy Unpacked event

Samsung is expected to launch the 2024 versions of its foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 at the event.
Apart from this, the company is expected to launch new tablets, Galaxy Watch Series 7, new true wireless earbuds and the Galaxy Ring at the event. Samsung had showcased the Galaxy Ring at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 are the successors of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 respectively.
A recent report suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will get a $100 bump in price. At the moment, there is no information about the device’s Indian pricing.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to feature a 7.6-inch inner display and a 6.2-inch outer cover display. It is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset, just like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. It is expected to feature a 200MP primary camera at the back and to be powered by a 4,400mAh battery with 25W charging support.

Samsung looks to regain its crown
Samsung, which had been ruling the market since the launch of its first foldable smartphone was recently dethroned by Huawei.
Chinese smartphone maker Huawei emerged at the top in foldable smartphone shipments in Q1 2024. With a 257% year-on-year growth, the company increased its market share from 14% in Q1 2023 to 35% in Q1 2024.
Samsung, which had a market share of 58% in Q1 2023 reported a market share of 23% in Q1 2024. It reported a 42% decline in shipments.
With the launch of its new foldables, Samsung will look to reclaim its lost market share.
