Xiaomi today launched its latest budget smartphone, the Redmi A4 5G in the company’s A series. It is the successor of the Redmi A3 that was launched in India in February 2024.

The Redmi A4 is a 5G smartphone, aimed at users looking for an affordable 5G smartphone or a secondary smartphone. This is now the most affordable 5G smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker in India.

Redmi A4 5G price in India

The Redmi A4 5G smartphone has been priced at ₹8,499 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and ₹9,499 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

The device comes in Starry Black and Sparkle Purple colour options and will be available from Amazon India, Mi Home Store and the company’s authorised retail stores from November 27.

Redmi A4 5G specifications

The Redmi A4 5G runs on Android 14 with the Xiaomi HyperOS skin on top. It will get two years of Android updates and four years of security updates. The Redmi A4 5G features a 6.88-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Redmi A4 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset. It comes in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It comes with a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Coming to the optics, the device features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 50MP primary camera and a secondary camera. On the front, the device sports a 5MP selfie camera.

The smartphone is powered by a 5,160mAh battery with 18W charging support. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
