Realme X50 5G announced with 120Hz display, quad rear cameras, dual selfie cameras and more

Chinese smartphone maker Realme has been teasing the X50 5G for quite some time now. It has finally announced the device in China. While a lot of information about the device is already known, the company has managed to pack in a few surprises.

The main highlight of the Realme X50 5G is its 6.57-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 90.48% screen-to-body ratio. The device is equipped with a total of six cameras – four at the back and two at the front. It is powered by the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset, making it the first 5G smartphone from the company.

The Realme X50 5G will be available in China in Polar White and Glacier Blue color options from January 14. The Master Edition will be available in Black and Gold color options.

The Realme X50 5G runs on Android 10 out of the box with realme UI skinned on top. This is the first device from the company to feature realme UI instead of Oppo’s Color OS. It also has a 6.57-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Powering the Realme X50 5G is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset coupled with Adreno 620 GPU.

The Realme X50 5G is powered by a 4,200mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 flash charge support. Connectivity options on the device include 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port. The device sports a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the right side.
