OnePlus launches Nord 2 in India starting at ₹27,999

OnePlus on Thursday launched its second mid-range phone in the Nord series — OnePlus Nord 2. Some of the key highlights of the phone are 5G support, company's proprietary Warp Charge 65, and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera. In addition to these upgrades, the Nord 2 also features a slightly different design as compared to its predecessor, the original Nord. OnePlus has also added a lighter blue and olive green colour to the Nord 2. It has three colour options in total - Gray Sierra, Blue Haze and Green Wood which is exclusive to India.OnePlus Nord 2 has been launched globally including India. Here, it starts at Rs 27,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. OnePlus Nord 2 comes in two more configurations of 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB priced at Rs 29,999 and Rs 34,999, respectively. The smartphone will go on sale in India on xxxx. OnePlus is also shipping the Nord 2 along with the Warp 65 power adapter and Warp Type-C cable.
OnePlus Nord 2 specifications
OnePlus Nord 2 features a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. On the software front, it runs OxygenOS 11.3 based on Android 11. OnePlus Nord 2 will get two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates. OnePlus Nord 2 also packs a 4,500mAh battery with Warp Charge 65 which the company claims can charge the phone from 0-100% in just 30 minutes.
On the Nord 2, you get a triple rear camera with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. This is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens with EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation), and a 2-megapixel mono lens. The smartphone houses a 32-megapixel front punch-hole camera with EIS. OnePlus has added a bunch of camera features such as Super Slow Motion (full HD videos at 120 fps), Nightscape Ultra for low-light photography, UltraShot HDR, Portrait Mode, and Night Portrait Mode. It also has Dual View Video that uses both the front and rear cameras to shoot videos.
More features on the OnePlus Nord 2 include facial recognition, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, in-display fingerprint sensor, and a dual nano SIM slot.
