OnePlus 10 will reportedly be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset.- It will become the first flagship device from the company to launch with a Snapdragon chipset.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the OnePlus 10 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. While OnePlus has earlier used Dimensity chipsets for its devices, this will be the first time that a flagship device will be launched without a Snapdragon processor.
To recall, the OnePlus Nord 2 was the first device from the company to be equipped with a MediaTek chipset.
OnePlus may be testing the waters to see if users are willing to pay a premium to purchase a device powered by a MediaTek chipset. The company willreportedly launch the OnePlus 10 in limited numbers.
OnePlus had earlier announced that the company is working on merging OxygenOS and Oppo’s ColorOS but had to back down after outrage from the fans. The popularity of the OnePlus 10 will help decide the chipset that the future OnePlus flagship phones will be powered with.
The OnePlus 10 will reportedly be launched soon. Additionally, the company is reportedly also working on a top-end variant dubbed as the ‘OnePlus 10 Ultra’.
Apart from the MediaTek chipset, other specifications of the device are not known yet. We should know more about the OnePlus 10 and the OnePlus 10 Ultra in the coming days.
