MIUI 13 update announced: Supported devices, features, rollout schedule and more

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced MIUI 13, the company’s latest user interface for its smartphones at an event in China. This comes as an update to MIUI 12.5 that was released in December last year.The MIUI 13 comes with several updates and the company has claimed that the overall fluidity has increased with the update. The new update focuses on improving core functions and computing capabilities for core apps during heavy usage.
MIUI 13 eligible devices
The following devices will receive the global update in Q1 2022 as part of the first batch. After this, other devices will receive the update as part of a phased rollout. The China rollout of the update is expected to begin in January 2022.

Xiaomi has also added a new font, dubbed as the MiSans which offers a flat and minimalistic font design. It automatically adjusts the height of hyphens to uppercase and lowercase letters.
The update also brings several privacy features such as face verification protection, privacy watermark and fraud protection. Privacy watermark will allow you to add a watermark to images that you share.
Fraud protection will use several tools to protect users from online and phone fraud. It will show a fraud warning if it detects any suspicious activity, prevents installation of fraud applications and unauthorized transfer of user data.

The update includes new live wallpapers, which were captured using a polarization microscope and 8K time-lapse photography. The update also brings new widgets to make user’s lives easier.The update also brings the Mi Magic Center which will allow users to manage all their Xiaomi products at once place.
