According to a report by MacRumors, the Pro models could see a $100 price hike this year due to increasing component prices. The iPhone 14 is expected to be priced starting at $799 and the new iPhone 14 Max is expected to be priced starting at $899.
With a $100 increase, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to be priced at $1,099 and $1,199 respectively. Do note that the prices in India will likely be higher than the US prices like every year.
The iPhone 14 series is expected to be launched on September 7. The devices are expected to go on sale on September 16, however, the new iPhone 14 Max may be slightly delayed.
The Apple 14 is expected to feature the same design as its predecessor. The iPhone 14 Max is a new offering and is expected to feature an identical design with a larger display.
While the iPhone 14 is expected to feature a 6.1-inch display, the iPhone 14 Max is expected to feature a much larger 6.7-inch display. The iPhone 14 Max is likely aimed at gamers, multitaskers and users who consume a lot of content.
Both the iPhones are expected to be powered by the existing Apple A15 Bionic chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. They are expected to receive a minor camera upgrade, while the battery and charging tech is expected to remain the same.
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to receive a design overhaul. Both the smartphones are expected to feature a punch-hole notch for the selfie camera.
Like the standard models, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to feature a 6.1-inch and a 6.7-inch display, respectively. The punch-hole notch will enable Apple to offer thinner bezels on these devices.
The Pro models will also become the first iPhones to feature an always-on display.
Both the smartphones are expected to be equipped with a more powerful Apple A16 Bionic chipset with 6GB RAM. The memory on the Pro variants is expected to be faster than the regular variants.
