The iPhone 13 may not come with major upgrades, but it could be a sum of several small changes making it a good option to consider if you are on the lookout for a new phone.iPhone 13 design
In terms of the design, the biggest change could be a smaller notch, which will be a welcome change after years of seeing the same notch since the iPhone X.
According to MacOtakara, this could finally change with the 2021 iPhones. The report states that Apple has repositioned one of the receivers and reduced the size of the TrueDepth camera, allowing it to reduce the notch cutout.
Kuo also corroborated this and stated that Apple will shift to a hole-punch from 2022, which will be a significant change.

Overall, the iPhone 13’s size could remain the same as that of the iPhone 12 series. Apple is also said to be working on improving the grip of the iPhone, although not a lot is known about this just yet.iPhone 13 cameras
The cameras could see some important upgrades, including the addition of sapphire glass to cover all the three lenses on the back.
Apart from this, Apple is also expected to bring some of the improvements that the iPhone 12 Pro Max offered to the rest of the iPhone 13 models. This includes a wide-angle sensor along with sensor-shift stabilisation, which were restricted to the iPhone 12 Pro Max last year.
In addition to this, Apple is also expected to bring some new astrophotography features to the iPhone 13. Reports suggest that this could include a new ‘astrophotography mode’.

iPhone 13 display
Apple will likely keep the same screen sizes on the iPhone 13 series as its predecessor, which means we could have the iPhone 13 mini starting at a 5.4-inch display to the iPhone 13 Pro Max with a 6.7-inch display.
But the major improvement in this regard will reportedly be the 120Hz refresh rate. This is something that Apple has been behind its competitors for a few years now, but the iPhone 13 series could finally see the company catch up.
Reports also suggest that the iPhone 13 series could feature always-on display support for the first time.

Apple is expected to expand 5G support, including mmWave 5G to markets outside of the US as well. It’s worth noting that the iPhone 12 series supported mmWave 5G only in the US.The iPhone 13 series is also said to support satellite connectivity, which could theoretically allow users to connect to Starlink’s satellite internet service. Of course, this will require Apple to add Starlink support to actually establish a connection.
iPhone 13 performance and storage
According to reports, the iPhone 13 will be powered by the A15 Bionic chipset, which is an upgrade from the A14 Bionic chipset used in the iPhone 12 series. The storage options could start at 64GB or 128GB, and go all the way up to 1TB.
