Apple recently announced iOS 16, the company’s latest operating system for iPhones at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). The company introduced several new features and improvements, such as lock screen widgets, shared photo library and more.

One of the interesting features announced by the iPhone maker is the ability to transfer eSIM from one iPhone to another.

The new feature from Apple allows you to transfer your eSIM using Bluetooth, saving you the hassle of getting a new eSIM when you change your phone.

How to transfer eSIM on your iPhone


One of the things that you need to keep in mind is that this will work only if both the devices are running on iOS 16.

  • Open the settings app on your new iPhone.
  • Now, tap on “Set up eSIM”.
  • Then, click on “Transfer from another iPhone”.
  • Now, follow the instructions on your device.
Apple has said that to transfer the eSIM, both the devices should be unlocked, placed near each other, have Bluetooth turned on and run on iOS 16 or later.
