CMF Phone 1 with replaceable back launched in India starting at ₹15,999

CMF today announced the launch of the CMF Phone 1, the company’s first smartphone after launching several accessories. Along with the smartphone, the company also launches new TWS earbuds and a smartwatch in the country.

CMF by Nothing is a sub-brand of Carl Pei-led Nothing Technologies. The smartphone is aimed at the budget segment and is placed below the company’s Nothing Phone (2a).

CMF Phone 1 price and availability

The CMF Phone 1 is priced starting at ₹15,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant and ₹17,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. The device will be available from Flipkart India starting from July 12.

Replaceable back

While the Nothing Phone 1, 2 and 2a were equipped with the Glyph Interface, the CMF Phone comes with something different. Users have the option to replace the back, choosing from three available options – Light Green, Blue and Orange. All you have to do is unscrew.

CMF Phone 1 specifications

The CMF Phone 1 runs on Android 14 out of the box with Nothing OS 2.6 skin on top. The device will get two years of Android updates and three years of security updates. It features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The CMF Phone 1 is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. It is available in two memory variants – 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage. While the company has not offered a 256GB storage variant, it supports microSD expansion up to 2TB via the hybrid SIM slot.

Coming to the camera department, the CMF Phone 1 features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 50MP primary camera and a secondary portrait sensor. On the front, the device features a 16MP selfie camera.

The CMF Phone 1 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and is IP52-rated for water and dust resistance.
