The OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 with Hasselblad cameras are finally here, promising to iron out the last remaining chick in OnePlus’ armour – camera performance. This time, OnePlus comes armed with top in class hardware and the Hasselblad partnership finally looks promising.

The OnePlus 9 Pro and the OnePlus 9 are the first smartphones from the company’s stable to come with Hasselblad-tuned cameras. OnePlus is pouring in $150 million for research and development – a significant development aimed at solving the company’s camera troubles.

Staying true to its ‘Pro’ moniker, the OnePlus 9 Pro is the one that sports top-end camera hardware – it comes with the 1/1.43-inch Sony IMX789 sensor along with dual native optical image stabilization (OIS).

The OnePlus 9 Pro comes with a quad camera setup with a 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX789 sensor that handles the primary camera duties. It supports dual-native OIS 8K and 4K video recording at up to 120 FPS. It is equipped with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8MP telephoto sensor and a 2MP monochrome sensor. On the front, it has a 16MP camera with the Sony IMX471 sensor.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 9 features a 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX689 sensor that handles the primary camera duties. It supports 8K and 4K video recording at up to 60 FPS. It is equipped with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with Sony IMX766 sensor and a 2MP monochrome sensor. It has a 16MP selfie camera with the Sony IMX471 sensor.

The OnePlus 9 series runs on OxygenOS 11 out of the box with the Android 11.

The OnePlus 9 Pro features a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED LTPO display, while the OnePlus 9 comes with a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. Both the phones support 120Hz refresh rate that promises smooth user experience, and both come with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Powering both the OnePlus 9 Pro and the OnePlus 9 is the latest flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Apart from this, both the OnePlus phones are powered a 4,500mAh battery and support Warp Charge 65T. The OnePlus 9 Pro also supports 50W wireless Warp Charge, while this feature is missing from the standard OnePlus 9.
