Display

Starting with the display, all four smartphones feature an AMOLED display. While the Galaxy S24 Ultra and the OnePlus 12 offer Quad HD+ display, the iQOO 12 and the Vivo X100 Pro offer a 1.5K display.

The iQOO 12 is ahead when it comes to refresh rate as it offers a 144Hz refresh rate. The other three smartphones offer a 120Hz refresh rate.

When it comes to brightness, the OnePlus 12 currently offers the brightest display at 4,500 nits.

The S24 Ultra wins when it comes to display protection, as it offers Gorilla Armor protection, followed by the OnePlus 12 which offers Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

In my limited usage of the four devices, I found the display of the Galaxy S24 Ultra to offer the best visuals and overall performance, while the OnePlus 12 is the brightest.

Performance

In terms of performance, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset, which is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. While all the chipsets offer similar performance, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy on the Galaxy S24 Ultra has an edge over other chipsets.

The camera is one of the key areas to look at when we consider purchasing a flagship smartphone. All four devices offer excellent cameras, with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra taking a lead with its quad camera setup.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra offers a host of camera features, including OIS, 5x optical zoom and 100x space zoom. While the other three smartphones offer decent camera setups, the cameras on the Galaxy S24 Ultra emerges on top.

Samsung has bet big on AI with its Galaxy S24 Ultra, offering features such as AI X Connect, Circle to Search, AI Live Translate, Galaxy AI Voice Recording and more.

While other companies also offer AI features in camera and photo editing, Samsung has made AI one of the key features with its new offering.
