Apart from comparing plans, users will also be able to compare discounts and cashbacks that are being offered by various apps on those recharges. This will help users to select the best plans and go with the best offers at one place.

Who can use this service?

The service is currently available for signed-in users on Android devices. This means that if you are using search on a computer or an iOS device, you will not be able to use this feature.

Which telecom operators are supported?

At present, Google is collecting prepaid plans from the following operators:

Can this service be used by postpaid users?

This service is currently available only for prepaid users and cannot be availed by postpaid users.

What are the apps supported for recharges?

At present, users will be able to select from the four available apps for completing their recharge.

  • Mobikwik
  • Paytm
  • Freecharge
  • Google Pay
This means you will not be able to use apps like PhonePe and Amazon to complete your recharges using Google Search at present.

How to use Google Search for mobile recharges

  • On your Android smartphone, open the browser and login using your Google account.
  • Now, search for ‘prepaid mobile recharge’ or ‘Sim recharge’ and in the form, enter your mobile number, telecom operator and circle.
  • Now, tap on ‘Browse plans’.
  • Go through the available plans and click on the plan that you want to recharge with.
  • Now, look for the best offers from the four apps and select the one you want.
  • Complete the payment.
Once you complete the transaction, you will get a confirmation page that also includes information about customer support for that recharge. There is also a ‘Back to Google’ button that takes you back to Google search.
