How to log in to Goodreads
With Goodreads, you can use your Facebook, Amazon, Google, or Apple account to create a Goodreads account, or you can opt to use an email address and password. Any of these options will work for signing in to your account on a web browser.
When it comes to the iOS or Android app, you can use an active Facebook, Amazon, or Apple account to sign in. Here, you can also opt to use an email address and password (which Goodreads recommends doing).
If you used a Google account to create a Goodreads account, you'll need to log in to your account on desktop and create a Goodreads-specific sign-in (email and password). Once you do this, you can use the email address and password you've assigned to sign in to your account on the Goodreads app.
How to log in to Goodreads on desktop
- Go to goodreads.com.
- Sign in to your account by entering your email address and password into the boxes at the top right of the screen or by clicking on the Facebook, Google, Amazon, or Apple logos to sign in using those credentials.

- For Facebook, click the Facebook logo. A pop-up will appear. To finish logging in to Goodreads, click "Continue."
- For Google, click the Google icon. Click on the account you want to use to sign in to Goodreads.
- For Amazon, click the Amazon icon. A pop-up prompting you to sign in to your Amazon account will appear. Enter your Amazon login details, then click "Sign-In."
- For Apple, click the Apple icon. Enter your Apple ID to sign in to Goodreads.

- Open the Goodreads app for iOS or Android.

How to troubleshoot a Goodreads mobile log in using Google
If you're unable to sign in to the Goodreads app using credentials from a third party, like a Google account, follow the steps below.
