To delete your Spotify account, you'll need to use an internet browser. The mobile app doesn't let you delete accounts.

How to delete your Spotify account

Before deleting your account, make sure that you're not subscribed to Spotify Premium. If you are, cancel your subscription first — only "free" Spotify users are allowed to delete their accounts.

1. In any web browser, open the Spotify website and log into your account.

3. Go through the account deletion steps, clicking Continue and confirming that you understand what data you'll lose.

4. Spotify will send you an email. Open that email and click the Close My Account link inside.

Once you click that link, Spotify will shut down your account. It'll take a week for them to fully delete it.
