Gmail is one of the most popular, widely-used email services out there. As such, it has a number of settings that users can play with to tailor their email account perfectly to their needs.
One of those settings is the number of email conversations displayed on each page — in other words, how much you can scroll before you have to flip to the next page to see the older emails.
For some people, the default display on Gmail is perfect as it is. For others, who receive dozens of emails a day, it might be too small. And for those who use slow computers, it's probably a bit too large.
Luckily, it's easy to change the page size in Gmail, using any internet browser.
How to change the page size in Gmail
1. Open Gmail in your internet browser and, in the top right corner of your screen, click the Settings icon. It looks like a gear.
2. A "Quick Settings" menu will appear. At the top, click the button labeled "See all settings" to go to the full Settings menu.
3. Next to where it says "Maximum page size," click the drop-down menu and select how many email conversations you'd like to be displayed per page.
- The default number is 50 emails per page. The more you allow, the fewer pages you'll have total. The fewer you allow, the faster your pages will load.
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the menu and click "Save Changes" to apply the new settings.
