- To change Siri's voice, open the Settings app and select "Siri & Search." Then tap "Siri Voice" and choose your preferred voice.
- With the release iOS 14.5, Siri is now available in four different voices.
- The new voice options are only available to English speakers, with more languages planned for the future.
For everything Apple is known for, Siri is about as iconic as it gets.
But if you're looking for a break from Siri's recognizable voice, Apple gives you the option to customize it.
With the release of iOS 14.5, Apple has added two new Siri voices. Perhaps more notably, Siri will no longer default to a female-sounding voice when you set up a new device - a feature that has stirred controversy for perpetuating harmful gender stereotypes.
If you're setting up a new iOS device, instead of the virtual assistant defaulting to a female voice, you'll be able to choose from four distinct voices.
For devices that are already set up, changing Siri's voice is a simple process. Here's how to do it on iOS and macOS.
Quick tip: Before you begin, make your device is up to date. To install and update iOS 14.5 or iPadOS 14.5, go to Settings > General > Software Update and then tap "Download and Install."

It's worth noting that while you can choose from Australian, British, Indian, Irish, and South African accents, only the American variety offers the two new voices.
