How to activate caller tune on Jio number

In addition to providing unlimited data with its plans, Reliance Jio also provides other complementary services such as access to Jio’s suite of apps including JioTV, Jio Saavn and more. The telco also allows users to set free caller tune on their numbers.

How to activate caller tune on Jio for free

Method 1 – Using the star button

If you want to set the same caller tune which your friend is using, you can use this method.

• Call the number whose caller tune you want to copy.
  
• Press the star (*) button on your phone.
  
• You will get a message asking you for your consent.
  
• Reply ‘Y’ for giving your consent within 30 minutes.
  

Method 2 – MyJio app

• Download the MyJio app from the Play Store or the App Store.
  
• After logging in, click on the three lines menu at the top left corner.
  
• Now, click on ‘JioTunes’ and then click on ‘Subscribe now’.
  
• Listen to the preview of and click on ‘Set as JioTune’.
  

Method 3 – JioSaavn app

• Download the JioSaavn app from the Play Store or the App Store.
  
• Click on ‘Log in with Jio’.
  
• Now, search the song you want to set as your caller tune.
  
• Now, tap on ‘Set JioTune’.
  

Method 4 – Using SMS

You can send the first 3 words of the song/movie/album to set the song as your caller tune via SMS. You can also search for songs using the following method:

• SMS ‘JT’ to 56789 and reply to the message with appropriate options.
  
• You will receive a message asking you for your consent to set the song as your caller tune.
  
• Reply ‘Y’ to set this song as your caller tune.
  
• You will get a confirmation message.
