Android fans rejoice, Google is all set for the upcoming I/O event taking place on May 11 and 12. Apart from the usual virtual demos and live or on-demand presentations, we can expect the launch of the latest Android 13 OS. Also, we might see some interesting Pixel hardware, if not the final products. Google is expected to expand the Pixel line-up with Pixel 6a, Pixel watch and a new foldable device dubbed the Pixel Fold. Google Stadia may also see some updates.
Among all these rumors, tipster Mukul Sharma revealed on Twitter, that a Pixel smartphone most likely the 6a is undergoing private testing in India. Sharma has a decent history of sharing accurate leaks and this one also looks quite believable.
As the name suggests, the 6A will be a lighter or toned-down version of Google’s flagship Pixel 6. While the company did not launch the premium phones in India, it’s likely to bring the Pixel 6A. That’s because that’s the pattern it’s been following since the Pixel 4a and 5a.
Google Pixel 6A Expected Specifications
The budget-friendly product in the Pixel lineup - the 6A is expected to come with a 6.2-inch FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device is also expected to sport face recognition. It might come with Android 12 out of the box, although it will be getting an Android 13 update sooner than later. Expected to run on a Google Tensor processor, it might come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It might pack in a 4500 mAh battery with 20W+ fast charging.
4 variants are expected for Pixel 6A
